Lancaster begins an epic journey

August 3rd, 2014

With only a few hours notice I found myself flying to Hamilton, Ontario for The Mail On Sunday newspaper, with reporter Lina Das. Hamilton is home to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, which houses Canada’s only flying WWII Avro Lancaster Mk X bomber. The crew are preparing to fly the historic aircraft to England where it will be reunited with the only other airworthy Lancaster for various air shows across the country.  It will be the first time in 50 years that two of these majestic aircraft have flown together.
